Choose how to play
Start at Aethus’s original Azeroth Survivors page. It provides browser play and a Windows download link. This guide hosts neither the game nor a replacement installer.
More columns → Swipe, or focus the table and use the arrow keys.
| Route | What you need | Choose it when |
|---|---|---|
| Browser | The original HTTPS page, a browser with WebGPU and a usable graphics adapter. | You want to try the game without installing the Windows package. |
| Windows download | A Windows device and an archive extractor that supports the supplied format. | You prefer the creator’s desktop package or browser graphics support is unavailable. |
Browser progress and a newly opened desktop copy should not be assumed to synchronize. Export a backup before changing how you play. Neither a completed download nor browser cache is a verified promise of offline play.
Download and extract on Windows
The download link checked on October 29 points to a RAR archive, AzerothSurvivorsWindowsNew.rar. It is not a ZIP file or a verified installer wizard. The creator may replace that link, so start from the original page for each new download.
- Open the creator’s game page and follow its Windows download link. The currently linked archive is on the same game domain.
- Wait for the browser to mark the download complete. A partial download is not ready to extract. If the transfer fails, use the browser’s Downloads panel to see the error before retrying.
- Locate the archive in File Explorer. On a Windows version with RAR support, right-click it, choose Extract All and select a new folder. Microsoft documents RAR support in Windows 11 24H2. If that option is unavailable, use a RAR-capable archive utility obtained from its own publisher; changing
.rarto.zipdoes not convert the file. - Extract the complete archive and keep its folder structure. Open the extracted folder rather than trying to start the game from inside the archive preview.
- Follow any instructions included with the package to identify its game application. If the launch file is unclear or extraction reports missing or damaged files, stop and ask through the creator’s community link. This guide has not inspected the package contents and does not supply a guessed executable name.
- Once the game opens, check the displayed version and options before importing progress. Keep your exported save and the previous working copy until the new copy has been checked.
A “cannot open archive” message concerns extraction. A graphics error after launching concerns the game or device. A security warning needs its own review; none of these is fixed by deleting a browser save.
Mac, Linux, Steam Deck and mobile
The public landing page checked here advertises a Windows package. It does not provide a separate Mac, Linux, Steam Deck, Android or iOS download link. That is a statement about the available links, not proof that every other route is impossible.
More columns → Swipe, or focus the table and use the arrow keys.
| Device | Practical starting point | What remains device-dependent |
|---|---|---|
| Windows PC | Current Chrome or Edge at the original page, or the creator’s Windows archive. | GPU/driver support and the requirements of the downloaded build. “Windows download” alone does not establish Windows-on-ARM compatibility. |
| Mac | Try the original browser page in current Chrome or a supported Safari version. Safari 26 ships WebGPU. | The Mac, OS and browser combination still needs a usable adapter. No native Mac package was linked on the page checked. |
| Linux or Steam Deck | Check the browser’s actual WebGPU status first. | Current WebGPU implementation status lists selected Linux GPU/driver combinations, not universal support. A Windows package does not establish Proton compatibility or Steam Deck verification. |
| Android | Try the original page in a current browser on supported hardware. | WebGPU availability varies by GPU, OS and browser. The launcher contains Android-specific graphics handling, but that does not establish stable performance on every phone. |
| iPhone or iPad | Use a supported Safari version; WebGPU ships with Safari 26. | Browser API support does not guarantee this game will complete a run. Fullscreen and orientation behavior can differ from a desktop or Android browser. |
On a phone or tablet, try landscape and confirm you can use the displayed controls before importing valuable progress. The current launcher attempts fullscreen on touch devices where the browser allows it; it can continue without that permission. An APK, IPA or “Steam Deck edition” offered elsewhere is not a release verified by this page.
Check the source, version and warnings
Use the download reached from wow.aethus.pl, not a sponsored search result, mirror or repack. Compare the destination with the link on the creator’s page each time. A familiar filename, HTTPS padlock or source link is not a malware scan or a publisher-signature check.
If Windows, the browser or your security software blocks the file, record the exact warning and check the source with the creator. Do not disable antivirus, add an exclusion or bypass the system warning just to follow an installation guide. A source check cannot decide whether a specific blocked binary is safe.
The original browser client inspected on October 29 identifies v0.127.0. Our detailed skill and talent reference remains tied to v0.125.0; it has not been fully rechecked against that newer client. The browser receives the creator’s published updates, so check the version shown by your game when comparing instructions. The version inside the Windows archive was not inspected, and its filename does not establish one. See the version record.
Keep progress when changing devices
Before leaving a working copy, use Options → Saves → Export Save and keep the exported file separately. If the destination already contains progress, export that too before importing: the reviewed import flow replaces progress rather than merging accounts.
Follow the save backup guide for the full sequence. Cross-version and browser-to-desktop restoration have not been verified here, so keep the original export even if a destination rejects it. For a black screen, missing WebGPU or an HTTP error, use the symptom-based troubleshooting guide before reinstalling or clearing storage.
